What we collect here
🚗 Cars — quoted on the vehicle
Western Sydney is where most of our car work is. Bigger blocks mean more room to keep a car that stopped running years ago — down the side of the house, in the back yard, or up on blocks in the garage. Running or not, registered or not, complete or half stripped. We tow it from where it sits.
Sometimes we pay for the car (by bank transfer — cash payments for scrap vehicles aren't allowed in NSW); sometimes it's a removal fee. It depends on the vehicle: make, model, year, weight, condition and what's still salvageable. Send us the rego, or the make, model and year, and we'll tell you straight which one it is — no "guaranteed" headline price that gets renegotiated in your driveway. Get a car quote →
🛋️ Sofas & lounges — from $80
Armchairs $80, 2–3 seaters $180, 4–5 seaters and modulars $300. We collect it from the kerbside and recycle what we can. Book a sofa pickup →
❄️ Fridges, freezers & washing machines — from $80
Garage beer fridges and chest freezers are everywhere out here, and an old one can quietly cost a few hundred dollars a year to run. They're $80 small–medium or $150 large, and every unit is degassed by a licensed handler before the metal is recycled. Washing machines, dryers, ovens, airconditoners are $80 too. 🛏️ Mattresses — $80 flat, any size
Any size, any condition including soiled or damaged, and you don't need to be home. Multiple mattresses in one trip is common for us here. Book a mattress pickup →
💻 Electronics & e-waste — $80 flat per load
TVs, monitors, computers, laptops, printers and cables, all to licensed recyclers. NSW doesn't have a statewide ban on binning e-waste (Victoria does), but it shouldn't go in any household bin — anything with a battery can start a fire in the garbage truck (what the law actually says). Preparing for collection
Mattresses, sofas, appliances and e-waste must be ready at the kerbside before collection. We do not lift or carry household items from inside homes, apartments, garages or down stairs. Collections run Monday–Friday, 6am–4pm.
The two things worth telling us up front:
- For cars: whether it rolls and steers, and whether the tow truck can get a clear run at it. A car in a back yard behind a narrow side gate is a different job to one on the driveway.
- For everything else: confirm the kerbside pickup location and any parking restrictions. Arrange any help you need to move items there before we arrive.
Council rules worth knowing
Western Sydney spans Blacktown, Penrith, Liverpool, Fairfield, Cumberland and Canterbury-Bankstown councils. All run booked bulky-waste collections with annual limits, and illegal dumping is policed hard in this part of Sydney — several of these councils run camera programs and issue significant fines.
Two specific traps: most councils won't take a fridge unless the doors are removed or secured, and none of them will take a car, ever. An unregistered vehicle left on the street or nature strip can be impounded and the cost passed to you.
