Mattress Removal Penrith — Flat $80, All the Way Out West
Updated
Share
Mattress removal in Penrith is a flat $80 each, any size, any condition — the same price we charge in Bondi. There's no distance surcharge for the far west. What is different is timing: Penrith is the outer edge of our run from Bankstown, so these are usually scheduled a day or two ahead rather than same-day.
Big houses, multiple beds
Penrith, Glenmore Park, Cranebrook and the surrounding estates are mostly four-bedroom family homes on generous blocks. That means most jobs here involve two, three or four mattresses at once rather than one.
Mattress pickup is $80 each, one trip, no minimum and no bulk complication. Four beds is $320, collected from the kerbside in one visit.
Access is the easy part
Collection is kerbside only. Please arrange for mattresses to be safely placed outside at the kerbside before pickup; our team does not carry items from inside homes, on stairs or from apartments.
Two things to mention when you book:
- The kerbside collection point — arrange for any upstairs mattresses to be safely brought down before pickup
- Truck access to the kerbside collection point — some estates have long driveways or battle-axe blocks
Penrith City Council rules
Penrith City Council runs booked bulky collections with annual limits per household. Items may only go on the nature strip once you've booked a specific collection date — anything else is illegal dumping and it's fineable.
Illegal dumping enforcement is taken seriously across Western Sydney, and Penrith has significant rural-fringe areas where dumping is a persistent problem and monitoring is active. A dumped mattress with anything identifying attached is easy to trace. More on council collections.
The annual cap is the practical catch here — a four-mattress job can consume a household's whole allocation in one go. To compare council collection with drop-off, donation and a booked pickup, see mattress disposal in Sydney: every option and what it costs.
While we're out there
Given it's a longer trip, it makes sense to bundle:
- Garage fridge or chest freezer — $80 for a small–medium unit, $150 for a large one
- Old TVs and computers — from $80 ($150 for a large TV); keep them out of your household bins, as anything with a battery can start a fire in the garbage truck (what NSW rules actually say about e-waste in the bin)
- An old sofa or armchair — armchair $80, 2–3 seater $180, 4–5 seater or modular $300
- A car that hasn't moved in years — we do a lot of these in Penrith, including vehicles on acreage and in sheds
One visit, everything sorted.
