Preparing for kerbside pickup
Between Lindfield and Berowra you get long driveways, steep approaches, split-level entries, and houses set well back from the street behind gardens.
Before your booked pickup:
- Arrange for mattresses to be safely moved outside to the kerbside
- Tell us the number of mattresses and agreed kerbside collection details
Collection is kerbside only. Our team does not collect from inside homes or carry from stairs or driveways. Collections run Monday to Friday, 6am–4pm.
Multi-bed jobs are the norm
Four and five bedroom homes mean most jobs here involve several mattresses at once — typically when kids move out, a guest room is repurposed, or a household finally does a whole-house upgrade.
$80 each, one trip, no minimum. Four beds is $320.
Bushfire-prone land
Worth a specific mention up here. Many Ku-ring-gai and Hornsby properties back onto bushland, and councils take a dim view of bulky items being stored outside for extended periods on bush-fire-prone land.
If your council collection date is weeks away, a booked pickup avoids the item sitting on the nature strip or beside the house in the meantime.
Council rules
This area spans Hornsby Shire Council and Ku-ring-gai Council. Both run booked bulky collections with annual limits per household, and both require items to stay off the nature strip until a booked collection date. Unbooked is illegal dumping and it's fineable.
