Fridge Removal Bondi & Eastern Suburbs — From $80

Fridge and freezer removal across Bondi and the Eastern Suburbs starts at $80 — collected from the kerbside, degassed under licence, and recycled for metal.
Salt air kills appliances faster out here
It's not folklore. Coastal air carries salt aerosol, and it corrodes the exposed metal on a fridge — condenser coils at the back, hinges, screws and the compressor housing. In Bondi, Bronte and Coogee, appliances routinely fail earlier than the same model does ten kilometres inland.
Which is why we're out here often, and why plenty of the fridges we collect aren't especially old — they've just corroded through.
The walk-up problem, with a fridge
Bondi's red-brick blocks are mostly three storeys with no lift. A mattress is awkward down those stairs; a fridge is 60 to 100 kilograms of awkward. This is genuinely the job you don't want to attempt with a friend and a trolley — it's how people damage stairwells, walls and backs.
Please arrange for the fridge to be safely placed outside at the kerbside before pickup. Our team does not collect from inside buildings or carry items down stairs.
Parking and timing
Resident permit zones cover most of the streets behind the beach, and weekends in summer are the hardest. Weekday mornings are much easier. If your building has a driveway, garage or loading area, mention it.
In the Bondi Junction towers, arrange any service lift and building access needed to have the fridge safely moved outside to the kerbside before pickup.
Why you can't put it on the kerb
Waverley Council only permits bulky items on the nature strip once you've booked a collection for a specific date — otherwise it's illegal dumping, and Waverley enforces it hard. Most councils also require fridge doors removed or taped for child safety.
The bigger issue is refrigerant. Every fridge and freezer holds gas in a sealed circuit that must be recovered by a licensed handler before the unit is crushed. Left on a footpath in the sun, or tipped into a truck, it vents to atmosphere. How fridge disposal should actually work.
And in a strata block — which is most of Bondi — tenants generally can't book a council collection themselves. It goes through the owners corporation.
