Mattress removal across North Sydney and the lower north shore is a flat $80, any size, any condition. This is one of the most apartment-dense pockets in Sydney, and the buildings vary enormously — from 1960s walk-ups in Neutral Bay to new towers around North Sydney station.
Preparing for pickup from walk-ups
Neutral Bay, Cremorne, Kirribilli and Milsons Point are full of mid-century blocks: three or four storeys, no lift, one stairwell, and a landing that everything has to be turned on. Add original narrow doorways and it's a proper carry.
Our collection is kerbside only. Please arrange for the mattress to be safely moved outside to the kerbside before pickup; our team does not carry it down stairs.
Towers: book the lift first
The newer buildings around North Sydney CBD and Miller Street almost all require a service lift booking through building management, often restricted to weekday business hours, plus confirmed loading dock access. Arrange any building access needed to have the mattress outside at the kerbside before our arrival. Collections run Monday to Friday, 6am–4pm.
The parking reality
Lower north shore streets are narrow, steep in places, and heavily restricted. North Sydney's CBD parking is genuinely difficult during business hours, and the residential streets behind it are almost entirely resident-permit.
What helps: mention any driveway, garage or loading area, and prefer weekday mid-mornings over peak times. Mosman and Cremorne's harbourside streets can be tight for a truck — tell us if your street is one of the steep narrow ones.
Councils here
This area spans North Sydney Council, Mosman Council, Willoughby and Lane Cove. All run booked bulky collections with annual limits, and all treat unbooked kerbside items as illegal dumping.
Given how much of the housing here is strata, the practical catch is familiar: individual tenants generally can't book a council collection, and most buildings prohibit leaving items in common areas while waiting for a date. More on council rules.

$80 flat per mattress, single to super king, any condition. Kerbside collection, no size surcharge, no call-out fee. Multiple mattresses are $80 each in one trip.
