Mattress removal across the Sutherland Shire is a flat $80, any size, any condition. The Shire splits into two distinct jobs — the beachside apartment blocks around Cronulla, and the family homes spreading through Miranda, Caringbah, Sutherland and Engadine.
Cronulla: walk-ups and parking
Central Cronulla is dense with mid-century red-brick blocks and newer apartments, most of the older ones without a lift. Please arrange for the mattress to be safely placed outside at the kerbside before pickup. Our team does not collect from inside buildings or carry items down stairs.
Parking is the real constraint. The streets around the beach and the mall are heavily restricted, and summer weekends are effectively impossible. Weekday mornings are dramatically easier. If your block has a driveway or garage area, mention it.
Cronulla also has a high concentration of short-stay and holiday rentals, where mattresses get replaced far more often than in owner-occupied homes. We can do multiple units in one run — more for property managers.
The rest of the Shire: family homes
Miranda, Caringbah, Gymea, Sutherland, Kirrawee, Engadine and Menai are mostly freestanding homes with driveways and side access. Faster jobs, and often multi-mattress ones as households reorganise.
Please arrange safe placement outside at the kerbside before pickup, including for homes set back from the street or on a slope.
Sutherland Shire Council rules
Sutherland Shire Council runs booked bulky collections with annual limits per household. As everywhere in Sydney, items may only go on the nature strip once you've booked a specific collection date. Anything else is illegal dumping and it's fineable.
In the Cronulla apartment blocks there's the usual extra layer: the booking generally has to come from the owners corporation rather than an individual tenant, and most buildings prohibit leaving items in common areas. More on council collections.

$80 flat per mattress, single to super king, any condition including stained or damaged. Kerbside collection, no size surcharge, no call-out fee, and no premium for the southern end of Sydney.
