Fridge Removal Inner West Sydney — Kerbside Pickup From $80

Fridge and freezer removal across the Inner West starts at $80 — degassed under licence and recycled for metal. Collection is kerbside only. Please arrange for it to be safely placed outside at the kerbside before pickup.
The Inner West fridge problem
A fridge in a Victorian terrace is a genuinely awkward object. The front door is narrow, the hallway is barely wider, and if it's in a back kitchen you're carrying 60 to 100 kilograms the full length of the house and out onto a footpath with nowhere to park.
Moving a heavy fridge through a terrace can damage doorframes or cause injury. Arrange suitable help to move it safely outside before pickup; our team does not carry items from inside homes or down stairs.
What helps when you book:
- The agreed kerbside collection point
- Any street access restrictions near the collection point
- Confirmation that the fridge will be outside at the kerbside before pickup
- Any loading zone or driveway nearby
Share houses and end of lease
The Inner West runs on share houses, and most rentals here come unfurnished. So tenants buy a cheap fridge, use it for a lease or two, and then face the same problem when they leave: it won't fit in a car, nobody wants it, and moving it costs more than it's worth.
Left in the property, it comes out of the bond at the agent's contractor rate — reliably more than a booked pickup. Book it a few days before your final inspection. Full end-of-lease guide.
Why it can't go on the footpath
Inner West Council, like every Sydney council, only permits bulky items on the nature strip once you've booked a collection for a specific date. In terrace streets with narrow footpaths a fridge blocks it completely, so it gets reported quickly — and unbooked, that's illegal dumping and it's fineable.
There's also the gas. Every fridge and freezer contains refrigerant in a sealed circuit that has to be recovered by a licensed handler before the unit is crushed. Older units may hold ozone-depleting gases; newer ones hold refrigerants with a heavy warming impact. More on why that matters.
What we take
Fridges, bar fridges, wine fridges, upright freezers and chest freezers — $80 for a small–medium unit, $150 for a large one, working or not, any age.
A washing machine or an old TV can go in the same trip. We don't take dryers, dishwashers, ovens or air conditioners.
Preparing it
- Empty it the night before
- Defrost the freezer a full day ahead and mop up — a wet fridge leaks the length of a terrace hallway on the way out
- Unplug it and coil the cord
- Leave the doors on — we don't need them removed
- Arrange for the fridge to be safely placed outside at the kerbside before pickup
