E-Waste Collection Parramatta — Offices and Apartments
Updated
Share
E-waste collection across Parramatta — the CBD office towers and the residential high-rise alike. NSW doesn't have a statewide ban on binning e-waste (Victoria does), but it shouldn't go in any household bin: anything with a battery can start a fire in the garbage truck, and TVs and computers can be recycled for free through the national scheme (what the law actually says). In a tower, confirm a suitable collection point with building management and us before booking; a drop-off point is another option.
Parramatta's two e-waste problems
Parramatta has become a genuine second CBD, and it produces e-waste from both directions at once.
Commercial: government departments, banks, professional services and the Westmead health precinct, all running hardware refresh cycles. Desktops, laptops, monitors, servers and networking gear coming out of service in volume.
Residential: thousands of apartments, most of them rented, with high turnover. Old TVs are the single most common item — too big for a bin, prohibited in common areas, and difficult to transport without a car.
Tower logistics
Whether it's an office floor or an apartment, the building rules decide how you get items ready. Your team or building management must arrange internal movement before our crew arrives; we do not carry items from inside buildings or on stairs. Household collection is kerbside only. Contact us to confirm the collection point and sort these before booking:
- Loading dock booking, including any vehicle height limit — several Parramatta basements won't clear a truck
- Any goods or service lift booking your team needs to bring items to the agreed collection point before pickup, often restricted to weekday business hours
- Security sign-in, and in some commercial buildings a contractor induction or certificate of currency
- Street address and the agreed collection point
Getting these right first time is the difference between one visit and two.
For offices
Do the data before the logistics. Build an asset list before anything moves, wipe devices and deauthorise software while they're still in your control, and catch the machines nobody thinks about — multifunction printers and copiers store scanned documents on internal drives, as do many conference systems and camera recorders.
We can supply a certificate of recycling for ESG reporting, tender responses or internal compliance. Ask when you request the quote. Full business guide.
For apartment residents
You have the hardest disposal situation in Sydney: no nature strip you can use, a council collection you generally can't book yourself, and strata by-laws prohibiting items in the bin room or corridors.
A booked collection or a trip to a council e-waste drop-off point are realistically your two options. More on TV disposal specifically.
What we take
TVs, monitors, desktops, laptops, tablets, phones, servers, networking equipment, printers, UPS units, cables, chargers and power boards — any condition, broken included.
Plus fridges and freezers from $80 ($150 for a large one), which covers the office kitchen fridge and the drinks fridge on every floor, and mattresses at $80 each if an apartment is being emptied. More on fridge removal in Parramatta.
What it costs
A normal household amount is a flat $80 per load; bigger office loads — a floor of monitors, say — get a quote from photos, and we confirm the price before we come. Old TVs are from $80 ($150 for a large TV). No call-out fee, and the number doesn't change on the day.
Areas we cover
Parramatta, North Parramatta, Harris Park, Westmead, Rydalmere, Camellia, Rosehill, Granville, Merrylands, Northmead, Wentworthville, Toongabbie, Epping and Carlingford. See the full Parramatta page.
Frequently asked questions
Can you provide a certificate of recycling?
Yes — request it when you book.
I've just got one old TV in an apartment. Too small?
No. One old TV is from $80 ($150 for a large TV). Please arrange for it to be safely placed outside at the agreed kerbside collection point before pickup.
Do you wipe the data?
We recommend you wipe devices before they leave your control. For drives needing physical destruction, tell us when you book.
Can you come early, before the office opens?
We run Monday to Friday, 6am–4pm. Early starts are often easier for vehicle access; contact us to confirm the collection point.
